If yes then we have a proposal for alternative tourism for the most beautiful places in Greece. A spiritual retreat to discover Greece in a different way.

We know very well all the places we visit since we have been there many times. We focus on the essence and the particular sensation that those places exhale. We combine activities in nature such as hiking,meditation, storytelling of the local myths and the history of the place. All of this tied up harmoniously, causing a substantial contact with the places, as the myths, the meditation exercises and the various coordination that we make as a group, unite theory and action and the traveller with the place transforming him into a spiritual seeker and a pilgrim.

“The journey is initiatory and it is addressed to people familiar with spiritual pursuits and people familiar with meditation. But it also targets people who are simply willing to go on a different trip and get to know new things.

THESSALONIKI-OLYMPOS-METEORA-DELFI-ATHENS.
The program of the tour is the following:
FIRST DAY: Arrival to the city of Thessaloniki and settlement to the hotel. Those arriving in the morning have the option of a city tour. This activity is optional and is charged extra.

19.00 Dinner with the group and discussion on the excursion’s program.

SECOND DAY: 08.00 Breakfast at the hotel

10.30 Arrival at Litochoro. Settlement in the hotel and for those who wish a stop for coffee.

12.00 Departure for Olympus and the Prionia from where the Enipea canyon begins .We will have a relatively easy hiking time of 2.00-2.30 hours. During this hike, we will walk in the nature of Mount Olympus and experience the holy mountain of Greece in a more inner way.

A waterside walk accompanied with myths, meditations and experiential site coordination exercises with mountain Olympus. Through this trekking we will try to understand the look of the ancient seekers. We will learn what the Fairy and the Nymphs are. How can we be related to these spiritual powers of nature. We will “feel” the spiritual power of the water and of the Nymphs.

We will connect with this Great Mountain and its energy. We will deal with the Myths of the Nymphs and the River Enipea. We will visit the heart of the mountain of the Gods of Olympus, the Enipea canyon. We will experience a beautiful hiking, accessible to all ages. We will learn the history of the river, and what the water was meant for the ancient Greeks. Why did they attribute to the rivers divine qualities and why they used water for purification.

Meditations in nature and mysterious paths in the mountains. Coordination with the Mountain of the Gods, Olympus. A powerful spiritual centre of the Planet. The hiking is completed in the old Byzantine monastery of Agios Dionysios, a great spiritual figure of monasticism at Mount Olympus.

15.30 Lunch in Litochoro or in Olympus shelter

17.30 Return to the hotel and time to rest

20.30 Dinner accompanied with music outdoor if the weather allows.

THIRD DAY:

8.00 Breakfast at the hotel

9.00 Departure for Meteora.

9.40-11.00 In the middle of the picturesque traditional village of Palaios Panteleimonas a stop for coffee and stroll through the cobbled streets.

11.30 A stop at Tempi, the place where Apollo came to be cleansed from the murder of Python and where he fell in love with Daphne, the Nymph who became his priestess, but also his sacred plant. We will see Penius river and we will talk about the Myths of the place and which ancient Gods are associated with it. On a plateau, we will meditate and coordinate with the place that is strongly associated with Titanomachia, Olympus and Delphic Apollo.

13.00 Departure for Meteora

13.30 Arrival at Meteora.

Meteora is a true rugged roof. A place full of positive energy. A Place of Force. The Byzantine monks did not randomly choose this place to build their monasteries. “Meteora” meaning is “Monastery hanging in the air”. Monasteries that unite Earth and Heaven. When man is led to an inner balance with appropriate techniques in such a place, then Uranus and Earth join in. Then he can experience peace. A trekking that is worth experienced in an inner journey. Here we will discover a more inner part of Christianity.

Upon arrival we will visit the monasteries of Agios Stefanos and Agia Triada, then following a 45 minutes hike we will climb down an old path which leads from the Holy Trinity monastery to the city of Kalambaka and the hotel. The imposing rocks, whose height reaches 400 meters, are a unique geological phenomenon that will impress you.

17.30 Settlement at the hotel. You are free to spend the time as you like, either by resting or by visiting the Museum of Natural History and the Museum of Greek Education located in the village.

Fourth day:

8.00 Breakfast at the hotel.

9.00-9.30: Visit to the Palaeolithic Museum of Theopetra.

10.00-12.00: A small hike to Meteora and meditation. In this special place of Christianity and monasticism, we will be given the opportunity to experience a story of St. John the Evangelist about the miracle of the handicapped at the Bethsada Baptistery. The man who could not get into the water in order to be healed as the Angel was coming down to shake the waters .This miracle will affect the way of approaching the Meteora, giving us an experiential look at the leaps of our daily faith .Meditations, if the weather allows, are made in nature in this amazing landscape of unparalleled beauty and significance. An experience unique through magical routes between rocks, forests and imposing landscapes.

13.00-15.00 Visit to the monastery of Big Meteorou and the Barlaam monastery

13.30 Lunch break.

16.30 Departure for Delphi.

21.00 Arrival in Delphi and settlement in the hotel.

FIFTH DAY:

8.00 Breakfast
09.00 An unforgettable trip to Delphi is waiting for us. A life experience. We will walk step by step in the history of Apollo’s myths by living experientially in the same places that gave birth to them. This journey is an important opportunity because it unites this: the physical forces of the place, the air and the space, the energy, the spirituality, the myth and the victory of light over the darkness. Here in Delphi, along with recreation and touring, we can have the opportunity for change and internal transformation.

10.30 We will cleanse ourselves in the waters of the Source of Castalia, and a discussion about the mythical guardians of the sanctuary will be followed. We will visit the Temple of Athena Pronaia where we will proceed to an inner contact with the place.

12.00 Departure by coach to Parnassos. It is followed by 45 minutes hiking to Korykyon Andron, where the cult of Grand Mother Gaia and her daughter Themis began. Here we will see myths about the Holy Nymphs of Gaia. We will learn myths about the creation of the human. We will enter the cave and we will connect with the Mountain and the Nymphs of the cave.

16.00 lunch break

19.00 Return to the hotel. Free evening.

SIXTH DAY

8.00 Breakfast at the hotel.

10.30 Meditation for preparation in order to be connected with the Earth’s Navel. We will see this wonderful journey to Delphi happening within us through exercises, meditations, approaches and self-knowledge. How Apollo was born and how he can be born within us. By following this journey we will cause to ourselves inspiration, insight and superior thought. With these experiences and these expectations we will enter the important Sanctuary of Delphi.

12.00 Visit to the archaeological site of Delphi. The guided tour and the wandering in the area will last about two hours.

Archaeological Museum.

15.00 Departure from the archaeological site towards Athens Airport. Lunch on the way.

19.00 Arrival at Athens Airport and settlement to a hotel nearby the airport area and departure the next day.
