1. Arranged marriages.

It is very interesting for someone to know how Indians decide for their marriage. People in the West normally choose their husbands or wives and get married with somebody who they truly love. In india thinks work in another way. Marriage is exclusively a parents issue. Parents are responsible for the success of the future common life of the couple. When the time comes (this time is usually very early, most of the time at the age of seven) for the young lady or young boy to get married, their parents first of all must operate a serious research for the future couple concerning the religion, the caste and sub caste, the economic status, the language, the eating habits and the most important of all the horoscope!!!! The horoscope must match! According to the Indian law of course it is illegal to discriminate on the basis of religion or caste but unfortunatlly the reality obey to the old customs and traditions . One more thing that is worthy to know is how the first meeting of the couple take place. When parents believe that the negotiations is possible to function they allow the couple to meet in a restaurant or in a temple always of course in the company of their families. It is difficult for the west people to understand that all this happens in the 21st century!!! Of course year by year thinks are changing and in the big cities turn to be more modern. The truth finally is , that still most of the marriages in India are arranged.

5. Travelling on Indian roads

Travelling on India roads it is really an experience . The situation could be characterised as true anarchy. The reason for this is that in India they all drive everywhere without following any rules at all. Motorised vehicles, animal-drawn wagons, Human-powered handcarts and even holly cows which seem to feel that their place to be is in the middle of the street. All these compete with each other to arrive to their destinations. visitors if they have to cross a road, they must first look right then left and when the road is really empty then they must run as quickly as possible especially if they don’t strongly believe in reincarnation!!!!! Because in India motorists stops for no one.
